Open Science
Open Science is a principle that is increasingly informing research and policy, especially in the EU, and yet is still unknown to many PhD-students.
This section introduces the topic and then connects to comprehensive resources that have been recently developed for researchers and practitioners interested in or willing to embrace Open Science and Open Innovation.
A few commentaries from participants are included to exemplify feelings and considerations elicited by presentations and discussions on Open Science/Open Innovation during the course.
Introduction
Open Innovation is a relatively new term that may be new to you. It is an important term for researchers, whether working in a university or in other sectors, because it relates to knowledge creation, valuing and sharing across all disciplines, and how best to do this. This is a 9-minute video on the Strategies for Open Innovation, which will situate the term for you, in knowledge economies.
This is a five-and-a-half minute video that introduces the basic idea of Open Science.
